Open-jaw tickets usually price close to a return — we can quote flights alongside the tour if you'd like. Transfers are not included, which is part of what keeps this price down; say the word and we will add them to your quote.

Book at least 7 days before departure. We confirm hotel and touring availability within 24 hours of your deposit, and refund in full if we cannot secure your dates.
Two days are guided and two are yours. The guided days cover what nobody should miss on a first visit to Cambodia; the free days are left open deliberately, so you can rest, wander, or add one of the optional trips we suggest. The Angkor pass is bought in your name at the ticket office and is excluded here so the figure you see is the figure you pay us.

Arrival in Siem Reap AT LEISURE
Arrive at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport. The airport sits about 40 km east of town, so allow 45–60 minutes. Transfers are not included — the taxi and tuk-tuk rank is straightforward, or your hotel will send a car if you ask in advance.
Check in and rest. Nothing today is time-critical; the plan works with a morning or an evening arrival.
Late afternoon: the Old Market quarter — silk, spice, and the shophouse streets either side of the river.
Evening: dinner around Pub Street and the night market lanes, both a few minutes on foot from the Old Market.
Your guide will confirm the next morning’s pickup time at check-in. Sunrise departures are early — usually around 04:45.

Angkor Sunrise & the Small Circuit GUIDED
Pre-dawn pickup for sunrise over Angkor Wat from the northern reflecting pool. Breakfast is boxed and eaten on site.
Into Angkor Wat itself as the sunrise crowd thins — the bas-relief galleries, then the upper terrace.
Angkor Thom through the south gate: the face-towers of the Bayon, the Baphuon, and the Terrace of the Elephants.
Ta Prohm in the afternoon — the temple left to the strangler figs, and the one everybody photographs.
Evening: Phare, the Cambodian Circus — a 90-minute show, and your ticket funds the arts school that trains the performers.

A Day of Your Own AT LEISURE
Nothing is scheduled today. After a 04:45 start yesterday, most people want it — and Siem Reap is an easy town to spend a day in on your own.
Want more temples? Your Angkor pass still works. Banteay Srei is 10th-century pink sandstone and the finest carving in the complex, with Pre Rup on the way back for the view from the upper tier — a tuk-tuk for the round trip runs about US$25–30 for the vehicle, not per person.
Or take the afternoon boat to Kampong Phluk, a stilted village on the Tonlé Sap where the houses stand eight metres above the dry-season waterline — a six-hour trip with pickup runs about US$19, and the sunset version about the same.
Or do none of it. The old quarter, a long lunch and a two-dollar massage is a perfectly good use of the day, and costs you nothing.
We will book any of it for you at cost when you book the tour — we simply have not built it into the headline price. One caveat on the lake: water levels swing enormously, and roughly February to June the flooded forest is closed.

Morning at leisure. A late checkout is usually possible when the transfer runs in the afternoon — ask at reception.
Overland to Phnom Penh on National Road 6, about 315 km. Your coach seat is included — a reserved place on the express service, roughly 6 hours with a rest stop. A private car with stops is available instead; ask us to price it.
Break at Kampong Thom for lunch, and at Skun if you want to see the deep-fried tarantulas the market is known for.
Arrive late afternoon. Check in, then the Sisowath Quay riverfront once the heat comes off the day.
Prefer to fly? The Siem Reap–Phnom Penh hop is about 45 minutes and can replace the drive. Ask us to price it — it typically adds US$90–140 per person.

The Royal City & Recent History GUIDED
The Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda first thing — the complex closes to visitors between 11:00 and 14:00, so the morning is not optional. Shoulders and knees covered.
National Museum of Cambodia next door: the finest collection of Khmer sculpture anywhere, in a terracotta pavilion worth the visit on its own.
Afternoon: Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), then Choeung Ek. These are hard places and the audio guide is exceptional. We give them the whole afternoon deliberately — they are not a stop to rush.
A sunset cruise on the Mekong and Tonlé Sap confluence closes the day quietly, which after S-21 is rather the point.
Both memorial sites are unsuitable for young children, and photography inside S-21 is restricted. Tell us if you would rather substitute this afternoon — we can swap in the Russian Market and a silk-island cycle instead.

Central Market — the 1937 art-deco dome, and the most straightforward place in the city to buy silver and gemstones.
Russian Market for textiles and souvenirs, or Wat Phnom and the colonial quarter if you would rather walk than shop.
Make your own way to Techo International Airport — opened September 2025, about 25 km south of the city. Allow 60–75 minutes for the drive plus 3 hours before an international departure; your hotel will book a car, and a metered taxi is cheaper.
Departing late? A day-use room or a late checkout is easy to arrange and worth it in the heat — just ask us before you travel.

How the flexi tour works. Choose any departure date and a hotel tier → we confirm availability and the exact price within 24 hours → pay a deposit to hold it → your final documents and vouchers arrive by email a week before you fly. There is no group to join and no fixed departure day.
What the price is built from. Hotel at published low-season rates for the tier you choose, the two guided days with hotel pickup included, and the coach fare. The tiers differ by hotel only; the touring is the same on all three. These are website estimates. Your written quote is confirmed against live rates for your actual dates before you pay anything.
Seasonal pricing. The figures above are green season, roughly May to October, which is when Cambodia is cheapest and the temples are at their most photogenic. High season (November to February) costs more, and the fortnight around Christmas and New Year more again. Your quote will show the exact figure for your dates.
