What we hold, and what we do with it.

This describes what actually happens to your details at DLT Travel & Tours — not what a template says. If anything here does not match your experience with us, tell us and we will fix one or the other.

Who we are

DLT Travel & Tours is a travel agency with two offices: #370 Kampuchea Krom Blvd, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and 100 Cubitt St, Cremorne, Melbourne, Australia. We are responsible for the details you give us. For anything on this page, write to info@dltravel.net.

What we collect, and only when you give it

We collect nothing about you until you tell us something. There are four ways that happens.

  • An enquiry. Your name, how to reach you, where you want to go, roughly when, and whatever you type in the message box.
  • A visa screening form. This one is detailed, because an embassy decision turns on it: your name and contact, the destination and visa type, your travel dates, your work and income, savings, who is paying, family and dependants, property, ties that bring you home, previous travel and any previous refusal.
  • A drop-off or collection request. Your name, contact, which service you want, the dates, and — only if you ask us to collect from you — an address and a map pin.
  • Walking in, or sending documents. Passport scans and supporting documents for a visa, a booking or a ticket, given to us at the counter or sent to us. A passport page is read for the name, number, nationality, date of birth and expiry so a member of staff does not have to retype them; a person checks every one before it is saved.

We ask for the minimum each job needs. If we ask for something and you would rather not give it, say so — it is often not essential, and where it is we will tell you why.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade your details. Not to anyone, ever.
  • This website carries no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags — no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, nothing of that kind. We do not build a profile of you and we cannot follow you to other sites.
  • We do not set cookies. Your browser remembers a few of your own choices — which language you picked, a filter or two — and those stay on your device.
  • We do not email you things you did not ask for.

What we use it for

To answer you, to quote you, to book what you asked for, and to prepare and lodge a visa application if that is what you came for. Nothing else. Where we hold something because the law requires it — an invoice, for instance — we keep it for as long as the law says and no longer.

Who else sees it

  • Our own staff. The people working on your trip or your application. They reach it through a sign-in that names them, and the tools record who did what.
  • The embassy or consulate, when you have asked us to lodge a visa application. That is the whole purpose of the form, and it is the only reason those answers leave us.
  • The airline, hotel, cruise line or local operator for a booking you have asked us to make — the name on the passport, the dates, and what the booking needs. Not your finances, and not your visa history.
  • Nobody else. No data broker, no advertiser, no partner who wants a list.

Every decision on a visa rests with the embassy. We prepare and lodge; we never promise an outcome, and no amount of detail you give us changes that.

The services this website uses

Some parts of the site load from other companies, which means those companies can see the request your browser makes — including your IP address. None of them is given your name or your answers.

  • Google — our records live in Google's business services, our forms post to a Google-hosted backend, and the site's typefaces load from Google Fonts.
  • Netlify hosts these pages.
  • OpenStreetMap and CARTO draw the maps on the itinerary pages. If you use the place-search box on one of those maps, what you type is sent to OpenStreetMap to look up.
  • Duffel answers the flight search. It is sent the route, the dates, the cabin and how many adults — never a name or a contact.
  • Viator supplies the experiences listed on itinerary pages. It is sent the names of the places on that page and nothing about you. If you click through to book one, you are on Viator's site and their privacy policy applies.

How long we keep it

An enquiry that went nowhere: 12 months. A client file: 3 years. Then they are deleted. That is not a policy we intend to follow — it runs by itself, on the first of every month, and what it removes cannot be recovered. Only the number of rows removed is recorded, never what was in them.

Documents you gave us for a job — a passport scan, a bank letter — are kept while that job is live and while we may still need them for it, and you can ask us to remove any of them sooner.

What you can ask for

Email info@dltravel.net from the address you gave us, or ring the office, and ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We will answer within 30 days and it costs nothing.

If you ask us to delete something we still need for a live application, we will tell you what and why, and delete the rest. If you are unhappy with how we have handled this, tell us first — we would rather fix it — and you may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

We do not seek details from children. Where a child travels as part of a family booking, we hold what the booking needs — a name, a date of birth, a passport — and a parent or guardian gives it to us.

If this changes

The date at the top is when this was last changed. If we ever change something that matters — what we collect, who sees it, or how long we keep it — we will say so here rather than quietly reword the page.
